Help China Earthquake Victims

The Yahoo news reported that the dead toll of China Earthquake has exceeded 12,000 (go to: http://news.yahoo.com/s/ap/20080513/ap_on_re_as/china_earthquake). Responding to the situation, the Amity Foundation, a close partner of American Baptist International Ministries, approved an emergency fund of one million Yuan (about US143, 000) to help the immediate need. The American Baptist World Relief Office also approved an emergency grant of US$5,000. Amity staff Mr. Yaomeng Yue is coordinating the relief effort in Chengdu, the capital of Sichuan province, and where a strong aftershock is reported. Please for Mr. Yue and other relief workers as they strive to provide water, food, tents and sheltering plastic to the victims. (Mr. Yue is at the right of the enclosed picture.)
