IM Team Visits China/ Hong Kong

"IM Team Visits China/ Hong Kong
An International Ministries (IM) team of ten members will visit Hong Kong, Swatow (Shantou) and Yunnan from October 22 to November 5, 2007. IM has a wide-range of mission involvement in Hong Kong. The team will visit the Divinity School of Chung Chi College, the Kowloon City Swatow Baptist Church, the Moon Lok Kindergarten, and the Fung Tak Youth Center. They will have a chance to experience a world-class metropolitan, but at the same time learn about the issue of poverty in this affluent city. IM has a long history of mission involvement in Swatow. After the churches reopened in 1980, there has been an amazing revival of Christian activities and church growth. IM has sponsored the construction of 11 new church buildings in Swatow. In this trip, the team will have a chance to interact with Swatow sisters and brothers learning from their faith journeys. Yunnan is famous of its year-around pleasant weather, beautiful landscape, and the hospitality of minority groups. We have seen the amazing work of God in the province. For example, 40% of Lisa people are now Christians. We will visit the churches, a Bible translation center, a seminary and Bible schools exchanging ministry experience. The team will also have a chance to learn about the rich and beautiful cultures of different minority groups. Please pray for the team and their journey."
