Rev. Dr. Joseph D. Huse
Special Assistant for Christian Stewardship Development in India

Rev. Dr. Joseph D. Huse is invited by American Baptist International Ministries (IM) to serve as the volunteer Special Assistant of Benjamin Chan for Christian Stewardship Development in India. Joseph will provide consultation and training service to partner churches in India to strengthen the understanding of Biblical Stewardship, and skills and models of resource management and development.

Joseph grew up on a farm in north central Indiana where he now resides. He is a graduate of the University of Indianapolis, the Andover Newton Theological School, the Christian Theological Seminary, and the Bakke Graduate University. Joseph's work experience includes employment with the Purdue University as a 4H/Youth Agent and the Indiana Youth Institute as Director of Resource Management. His ministry experience includes churches in Manchester Center, Vt., Lebanon and Columbus, IN; Quincy, IL and Minot, ND.

Joseph currently serves as the Chaplain at a senior living community in Indianapolis, Director of Advancement for the Baptist Student Foundation at Purdue University and the Development Consultant for the American Baptist Foundation. Joseph is the convener for the Missionary Partnership Team for Katie and Taku Longkumer, IM development workers in Northeast India.

Joseph's hobbies include gourmet and Dutch-oven cooking and travel. Joseph and his wife, Dinah, have two sons and two grand children.
