I am very sorry to inform you that Mr. Sailendra Kumar Sen passed away at Kalinga Hospital, Bhubaneswar, India early this morning. His body is now being carried to Balasore, his home town, and the funeral will be held tomorrow.

Brother Sen struggled for his life since the road accident on March 13. Doctors concluded that he had a massive heart attack before the accident.

Brother Sen was a key leader of the Bengal-Orissa-Bihar Baptist Churchesí Association (BOBBCA, http://www.eacinet.org/bobbca.php). He played an important role restoring the unity and vital ministries of the Baptist churches in the BOB area. He served as the President of BOBBCA, and was a strong advocate for the protection of church properties. Under his able leadership, BOBBCA became a member of the Baptist World Alliance and other ecumenical organizations. .

Dr. Imo Aier, International Ministries Consultant in India and I worked very closely with Brother Sen. I will never forget his genuine heart for the Lord, his caring smile, and the wisdom he put forth in times of crisis.

Brother Sen was left with his wife and a son. Rev. Samaresh Nayak, Acting General Secretary of BOBBCA, asks for our prayer support to the family and Association.
