Dear Prospective Candidate:
Our church founded in 1880 has faithfully ministered in San Francisco Chinatown for over 127 years. We are a bilingual (English and Cantonese), bi-cultural, and multigenerational congregation committed to Jesus Christ as Lord Savior and called to ministry and mission with first generation immigrants as well as Asian Americans. Presently, we have four Sunday morning worship services attended by people from the greater Bay Area. Located in the heart of Chinatown, outreach to our neighbors is imperative. We are committed to becoming a vibrant "missional" church to do missions and to proclaim the Good News of Jesus Christ to the world.
If you feel called to minister with our faithful congregation and the Pastoral Staff Team as the Pastor for Chinese-Speaking Ministries, we encourage you to prayerfully review the enclosed Job Announcement and consider submitting your name and the necessary materials to the Search Committee. If you know of someone with whom you would recommend for this position, please forward this information to that person. For more information about our church, please visit our website at: www.FCBC-SF.org.
Ministry in the San Francisco Bay Area along with our sister churches in the Chinese Christian Union and the American Baptist region is exciting, challenging and rewarding. We pray to God that his kingdom will be advanced through the calling of this new servant of Jesus Christ.
In God's faithful service,
Rev. Don Ng
