Missionaries in India

International Ministries missionary David Perkins reported that he and two other missionaries Cathy Holmes and Debbie Mulneix had a fruitful meeting in Arunachal strengthening the relationship with Christian leaders in Northeast India. The Council of Baptist Churches in North East India (CBCNEI) has become the largest Baptist organization in India with about one million members. Dr. J.M. Pau, CBCNEI General Secretary and a main contributor to the progress of the Council will finish his ten years service in April of 2009. CBCNEI requests American Baptists to pray for them as they look for Dr. Pau's successor.

Debbie Mulneix continues to travel in Northeast India to promote volunteer and short-term mission programs. Debbie asks for our prayer support for she is not able to have phone or internet connections in many locations of her visit. Debbie will promote the programs in Nepal in May and June. Missionaries Carole and Bucky Sydnor have assisted the arrangements.
